Agreed. Even when the great Fulton left for Easts, Manly remained a top side and won the premiership two years later. Should also be pointed out that Tom was almost a passenger and missed a chank of time in late second half as did DCE. Also noted Jake was sin binned at the 62 minute mark with NZ leading 24-16. That alone ended any come back- Bearfax

Yes one of the stated roles of the lock in Wikipedia is as an extra ball distributor, loose forward. Certainly a mix of prop and second row at times but certainly they tend to be interchangeable with second row.
