Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

This is a while back, because it's the BOZO drivel show in this thread right now, but SMH's Chammas said that Ballin had met with Seibold recently (presumably before the game vs Broncos), and quoted Ballin as having said that he "sees his future in Sydney". From what I can ascertain, it's...

    Pre-Game Manly V Souths [Round 18, 2025]

On present indications, depending on whether we get TDS early: 1. Hoppa 2. Saab 3. Koula 4. Turbo 5. Garrick 6. Brooks 7. D€E 8. Lodge 9. Simpkin 10. TKO 11. Waddell 12. Burbo 13. Jake 14. TDS 15. Bullemor 16. Tevaga 17. Sipley Might end up being 9. Croker / 14. TDS, but I can't imagine them...

    Tallyn Da Silva

I think it's funny, the conjecture over how much we're offering him. These are the same people questioning why we don't sign any fast young forwards with potential on minimum wage... It's because they cost much more than minimum wage! Either you develop them, and keep them on minimum wage (e.g...

    Tallyn Da Silva

Not a finished product at all, but it's not like he's been getting game time to develop. Last week, he was the #14, and didn't play a single minute. There's a player there, he just needs the opportunity. Has a higher ceiling than anyone at the club so far. By the sounds of things, this Jake...

    I love Nathan Brown

Disappointing, but hopefully... This time... We finally get to see some Navale. Unfortunately, it'll just be Croker to hooker, and Tevaga to bench.

    Wooden Spoon

On current estimates, it looks like whoever gets the spoon will end up with 7 or 8 wins. Tonight's result, and presumably at least one more win this season, will put us beyond any likely chance of a spoon. The thirty minutes I was able to see tonight were insanely bad. I don't think this is...

Game Day: Manly V Tigers [Round 17, 2025]

Pretty sure this is only the second time that Garrick has played outside Koula. First (and only?) time: https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2022/round-4/sea-eagles-v-raiders/

    Tallyn Da Silva

They have some hooker who is like 17/18 iirc, who looks about as good as TDS. It makes more sense for them to keep the kid (I forget the name), as it lines up with a likely Koroisau retirement in 2-3 years.

    Isaac Moses

Yeah I made this post but I can't remember where it is. Point is, it's four players, plus the coach. So three of those players starting, (like 20% of the starting team) on a combined $900k. Not really that pressing. They're all replaceable.

The Jazz thread ... all that Jazz

Great workrate from Jazz, and he's got an attitude that no one else in our pack has - pure competitiveness. I imagine that the SL side has offered him a multi-year deal, that no NRL side would offer. Shame to see him go. Great player, just wish he could play at lock every week... Hopefully...

    Tallyn Da Silva

Aside from cash, surely Da Silva knows that he won't be the preferred 9 at Parra?

    Pre-Game Manly V Tigers [Round 17, 2025]

Nothing bar Paseka, Aloiai and Haumole will change this awful pack. Not even Navale unfortunately. I don't think we get the spoon, but we'll get awfully close. This pack is downright terrible. The only hope I have, is that Lodge is slightly fitter. That is probably the only thing that can save...

    Pre-Game Manly V Tigers [Round 17, 2025]

We are f**ked Absolutely destroyed the Bulldogs in Round 26 last year, with Paseka. Ran like 150m. Massively hot/cold.

    Pre-Game Manly V Tigers [Round 17, 2025]

Bloody weird team, but I can see what they're going for. They have plodders like Lodge starting, probably to give May some work, but TKO & Jazz to presumably make up for them in defence. That bench is still pretty disappointing. I'd like to see Navale in for Brown. Of course, then there's...

    The Realistic Cleanout

I think Seibold is a dead man walking, so I imagine there will be a slight change of direction come November. It's only been three years since Des was shafted, same CEO (for once), so I imagine it'll be two weeks after the grand final, and if I had to put a date on it, I'd say the 16th of...

Inside the meeting that could redefine Trbojevic’s NRL career

This makes me strongly believe that some of these changes and decisions have come from above him. The Penn's aren't ones to sit back and watch... For better, or, as it usually is, for worse. Looking like it'll be this from all accounts: 1. Lehi 2. Talau (left) 3. Koula (left) 4. Turbo (right)...

    Manly In Crisis 2025 edition

https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/manly-arent-just-bad-theyre-boring-has-anthony-seibold-been-found-out Interesting article that basically confirms what we've all been thinking - our shifts don't come off, because no one respects our middle anymore. I feel like Aloiai and particularly...

Inside the meeting that could redefine Trbojevic’s NRL career

Turbo has already defended next to DCE, on a few occasions. A few internationals are what spring to mind, but these were nearly seven years ago. I think Turbo has pretty strong game awareness, so I don't think his defence there will be a problem at all.

    Club News 2025

I was thinking of posting here, that they should move Jazz back there, as a pisstake... But they're actually doing it??? Just play Simpkin there, and get Jazz to do 10, if you don't want Croker in the side! Insane decision. I mean, we have ironically played our best games with Jazz at hooker...

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

The more that time goes by, the more I agree with this. This era has produced nothing. I just hope it never produces a spoon. We can show them loyalty post-retirement, they have the brains for coaching careers. There shouldn't be any indebted loyalty to people who have won nothing.
