    Dally M predicitions

Lyon hasn't been as prolific as last year when he won it. Compounding this, several other Manly players are starring this year where he was the go to man last year. Selectors/panelists also tend not to look favourably on players who brush rep duties (which is why I ruled Matt Cooper out)...

    Dally M predicitions

Here are my personal Dally M predictions, what do you all think? When voting went blind in round 16 the competetion leaders were Thurston out front, Gallen 2nd, followed by Foran, Slater, Smith, Cronk & Glenn Stewart all on close numbers after that. Thurston and Gallen's injuries have...

Player Movements as of June 30

I've updates the list with today's announcements that Andrew Ryan will retire from football at season's end and that former NZ and Leeds coach Brian McLennan will couch the Warriors from next year.

    What is wrong with Gus

Gus didn't colour his hair. He went full grey in just under a year and his hair is falling out in clumps. He has been going to doctors and specialists and none can put it down to anything other than stress.

Player Movements as of June 30

Broncos long serving player limit is already taken up by Corey Parker, Justin Hodges and Sam Thaiday for next year. Word is his deal has a good chunk of 3rd party deals to fill the difference between his Panthers contract and Broncos. Will be interesting to see what happens with the...

    Antonio Kaufusi

He is going to The London Harlequins in ESL and he is a myth anyway. He had 1 good year in Melbourne and since then he has been an error riddled mess of a prop. How do you get kicked out of 2 clubs in 2 years? Seriously.

Was he as bad as they say ?

Our ground announcer is a punish. I'll cheer when I want to, not when I am told to. As for the Penrith guy. Jabs like that aren't uncommon in Park football from the announcers but it doesn't really have a place in NRL announcing.

At this stage just a whisper, but thought it was worth mentioning since its a Sea Eagles thing and he was formally ours. I've felt the Roosters have used him badly. He is much better as an edge running 2nd rower who can do damage out wide, than a lug it up the middle prop. Gives him a chance...

Player Movements as of June 30

I have updated the original post with the Eels latest signings, Antonio Kaufusi's move to ESL, Luke Capewell to Broncos as well as adding the Warea-Hargreaves and Orford rumours to Manly's notes. The Orford rumour for those wondering was a link to joining Manly as a member of the Toyota Cup...

Player Movements as of June 30

Sorry I did mean canlt do mid season transfers post June 30 like Anthony Mitchel, Cory Paterson, Sam Tagatese did this year. I didn't make myself clear, Dan is dead right, you can still negotiate with other teams for 2012 and beyond. Sorry for the confusion. I've also added the get out clause...

Player Movements as of June 30

It just says that he is off contract at the end of the year, not that he won't be resigned at during the year. Clubs can resign or extend a players contract at any time. The June 30 cut off just stops players negotiating with other teams during the final rounds of the competition. My personal...

The manly marker for Orford is a rumour he has been offered a spot on the toyota cup's coaching staff, but there is nothing in stone and nothing officially announced

As I'm sure the majority here are aware the NRL cut off for trades between clubs during the season has come and gone. I've been keeping track of contracts and trades for work and thought you all might be interested to see who was going where and who is locked into their clubs now that we are...

    Halves on TV ths week

Part of the reason we are more accessible this year is due to Scott Penn, he understands the value of doing media and has pushed the club to do more of it. Coupled with that the new CEO is a marketing man and he understands it too. I heard a rumour he is putting Fatty Vautin in next year's...

Re-energised Sea Eagles are a tough act to follow

The death on Friday, at 83, of Rex Peers ''The Moose'' Mossop, marked the final crash tackle in the story of one of the great characters of the twin centuries of the two rugby codes in Australia. A high-achieving dual international, Mossop was a nut of the toughest texture and - on Friday's...

Notice something on the Footy Show last night

I noticed that too, they showed lots of last year (ovbiously), talked about Lockyer having a fairytale finish while showing 06, the Menzies fairytale try from 08 and the famous Benji flick from 05 but Melbourne were nowhere to be seen.
