Can’t believe I’m still at the top !!!
I’m usually not a great tipper . Doesn’t say much for the rest of you guys
Just kidding I’ll head back down the ladder sooner hopefully later though
For those unaware the tipping Comp this year is named after my son in law Mick Colbran who bravely battled cancer for 4 years and 3 months before losing the fight just 12 days before his 40th birthday. It started in his bowel ( no family history) , moved to his liver , then his lungs and finally his bones.
The **** he went through ( operations, radiation and chemo) over this time was just unbelievable!!
He was such a champion taking as little as possible by way of pain killers throughout so he could spend as much time with his family, our daughter Alice and 7 year old Sam and 9 year old Tom dong the things they lived doing ( fishing , 4wding , Camping). He told me once “ if I take that stuff I’m useless so I’ll choose pain any day to be a normal father”.
I’d like to again thank Dan very much for the naming of this years Comp in his honour, my wife, daughter and I were very chuffed at this lovely thought!
Mick was a devoted Panthers fan but attended many games with me in a Manly jersey including the 2011/13 Grand Finals.
Many of you that were a part of the MWTS crew will remember him from those days.
He was a true footy tragic, and was so proud that his two little boys were playing junior league ( and still do).
Thanks for reading my small tribute to him and good luck in the Comp.

Great post. I saw some of the community fund raising efforts in the paper. A well liked family for sure. Feel free to cut and paste the above if you want to post it in my tipping wrap up. That's the one you never read nor give likes in (kidding) and especially this week as people may need some perspective. 🙂
I have no idea why 35 correct guesses = 41 points, so really I am guessing that you made the leaderboard because the leaderboard fairies are smiling at you.
Me, I just pick home teams + Manly because I have no idea how the points system actually works, and I couldn't tip a winner in a 1 horse race.
