    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

I love watching the footy but I find these repeated concussions distressing to watch..surely the NRL must have some duty of care, even if it's against the players best wishes.

Don't forget to throw in $200k for Schuster.

    2026 recruitment & retention

I think Talau offers great value for money, especially with the Garrick to the Bears rumour going around.

    The Turbos

I guess we don't know Ben's ceiling, but for me, he's been a bright spot in a pretty dull year. Yes, he makes his share of mistakes, but no one could ever accuse him of not giving 100%. Maybe, when you cheer for an underdog, you see more than is really there, who knows...I see a young bloke who...

    Jason Saab

The Roosters ditched Dominic Young and I think he's a better player than Saab. That's the sort of ruthlessness you need if you want to compete with top teams on a regular basis.

Season over: so, what did we get from it?

The owner is a Karmichael Hunt, but the club will always be bigger than one person.

    2026 ( the Nostradamus thread )

No offence, but I hope you're wrong because Fogarty was my only glimmer of hope for next year.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

I don't understand. If Aloiai and Croker weren't retiring, we'd still have to pay them. So if they are retiring, surely we would have their money available for 26.

    Second rowers 2023 - 2025

I'd be happy if the club just announced that we are currently in the market to bolster our forward strength for next year. It wouldn't have to be specific, just some sort of reassurance that they recognise we have a problem. I don't think that's too much to expect given the recent upheavals.

The Rumour that we hear everywhere

Maybe it's as simple as Mestrov thinking Cherry-Evans was on the slide and didn't represent good value for money moving forward, and that was enough to get his nose out of joint. Don't forget he's got form, remember he got the senior players offside by refusing to compromise on wages after they...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

And that's exactly why I've never been able to fully embrace DCE as a Manly great. Yes, he's durable, he's clever, he's obviously talented, but, for me, he lacks that win at all costs mongrel, that no self preservation, that grunt that inspires team mates to dig deeper when everything is going...

    Team next week

Sad but true, I keep on waiting for him to bounce back, but I'm starting to think this is as good as he's going to get. Which sadly leaves us to speculate on his true value in 2027.

    The way forward

I've promised myself I'll start doing that if we don't jag another one before I'm 70.

    The way forward

I realise there's bugger all we can do, but I've just passed my mid-sixties and I'm starting to worry that I'll never see the boys win another grand final...lol

    The way forward

An outsider's opinion: my girlfriend from Thailand has been here for 2 years, and is already a staunch Manly supporter. She said our coach looks like a polite, soft, and easygoing kind of man. Maybe that's why I've been happy to stand back and give him a go, but maybe that's why I've started to...
