It's not just the coaching it's the conditioning. I would have a hard look at the trainers. So many injuries cannot be just a coincidence.
Agreed. Taking out the injured crew, our support players looked grossly unfit. Ferris has us maintained as he did The Titans, and our 14th placed finish, is where his Titans finished consistently at the end (until he left - then they are back in the finals).
This is what Barrett has had to deal with though:
We had:
Brett Stewart (out for season)
Brenton Lawrence (out for season)
Steve Matai (out for season)
Feleti Mateo (left for overseas and unavailable)
Tom Symonds (left for overseas and unavailable)
Jorge Taufau (injured for the majority of the season)
Tom Trbojevic (requiring surgery for most of the season)
Daly Cherry-Evans (requiring surgery for most of the season)
Jayden Hodges (out for season)
Isaac John (out for season)
Liam Knight (not available to play for unfortunate reasons)
Nate Myles (injured most of the season - apart from SOO time)
Darcy Lussick (injured to finish the season)
Dylan Walker (out for half of the season)
Jamie Buhrer (out for start of season with broken jaw, THEN finger)
Tim Moltzen (Retires from the game and unavailable)
+ Match Fixing Allegations
+ Vave signing with Eels during the season
+ Foran suing the club over 3rd party issues
+ Penn saying in the media he expects much better with healthy roster
+ Cartwright laughing when losing
+ Close to the clubs worst ever losing streak (and finished with 5 straight losses)
+ Various powerbrokers all vying for power around him
+ A delapotated ground (Brookvale)
FMD, the poor bloke needs a medal. He has a fanbase that is very patriotic to the boys of yesteryear (Tooves, Des & others).
