40 nil

It's only a game ...
On reflection, the Warriors played with an intensity in defence similar to ours when we played the Storm. Will be interesting to see if they can maintain it next game.

It wasn’t “just one of those days”

We played like ass and deserved to lose The scoreboard flattered us and Our best players were terrible

Not the kind of display from a team that should be sharpening its claws for the finals, a couple of losses straight and one could miss the 8.

Stupid platititudes have no place in explaining tonight

They pulled our pants down. Fantastic game plan and unbelievable execution.
The Warriors played possibly the best attacking defence game I can remember watching. It was an astonishing display of rushing defence, they hardly missed all night, left no gaps and completely shut us down. We had zero room to move and it bewildered us. They also had the rub of the green...just one of those days.
We didn't play bad, we were just baffled by being in a zone we had never seen. It hurt our defence as well, we were so frustrated.
No team would have been able to combat that without ever experiencing it before and being prepared for it.

The only reason we scored the 3 late tries was because 1 man missing created gaps in the rushing defence line. We didn't get better or adapt.

Tonight's loss is Des's and he full well knows it.
I hope it is not too much of a mental setback for the boys...but that's Des's job to make sure it is not.

Tonight was ripe for an ambush, Manly love to play fast and in dry conditions we are strong. Tonight it was wet under foot and it was all about percentage play and using attacking kicks, The Warriors did that so much better for 65 minutes and Manly became more and more impatient and when they finally did work towards building pressure they got a professional foul out of the Warriors and like good teams do they took advantage. The NRL is a no easy game league, this is not the first time a team has been ambushed like this. The Warriors to their credit played as well as I have ever seen them and they played the perfect aggressive spoiling game that Manly normally play. I am sure that Des will be drumming into them the need to be ready each week. Expensive night though with injuries to Parker so bloody unlucky, Sirro it seems too and I think that Marty is struggling with his knee and DCE with his ankle. We need our whole squad now as we have a difficult month ahead!
It's not LUCK, when patterns repeat. Sirro has been a walking injury for years despite his relative good run this season. Same with Parker. Lots of talent and potential, but very real susceptibility. The same goes for DCE and his injury vulnerability. And then look at somebody like sCam. Luck is a throwaway excuse for an inability to sort out these patterns. Everything else you shared I agree with

No doubt we just thought we had to turn up and win this but...

The refs have been an absolute disgrace this game, the slowing down of the ruck, hands on the ball and holding down from NZ has been a ****ing disgrace, not to mention the consistent offside the warriors have been all night particularly there outside backs.

Then the old make up a forward pass call at the end to make sure they got the win

The fix was in from kick off on this one,

Toddy doesn’t want us in the top 4
Every week the broken record....as soon as the game is not going our way it is the refs don't like us.....wah,wah,wah,get over it Noel, stop defending Des.....excuses are for losers.

I pretty much agree with your summation but FMD they were given some latitude by the whistle blowers for offside and holding down in the play the ball in the first 25 minutes ... watched it with no sound for the first half and the six of us watching were all of that opinion and that includes two sharks fans who were there to watch the second game
