Wonder if Bernard Foley , Wallabies 5/8 and goal kicker extraordinaire would consider a switch to League,? got Sea Eagle written all over him. :)

Foley was a St Aloysius boy (one of their few top rugby graduates) and our under 20s coach David Heath is currently a teacher there. Maybe that connection would help (although I expect Heathy might be a bit busy today). Carn the 20s!

I find it a hard game to watch, ball disappears, then seemingly waiting for a penalty in range. But then, League can be boring to watch (the complaint I hear most from Rah Rah supporters). I find you can pretty much turn away from League when the ball is being brought out in the first four tackles and not miss much. Definitely need to bring the little guys back into the game more with the reduced interchange and maybe do something about points from bombs. Maybe drop a forward, reduce teams to 12 players? Hell, it's not like you need six forwards to pack into a scrum nowadays.
If you're dropping it to 12 players, might as well go to 11. That would open the game up.

OR

Limit the number of simultaneous tacklers to 2 for a similar effect.

With either of those changes we could possibly return to a 5 metre rule, and still have a significantly more open game.
