Well how can you say socialisation has nothing to do with it.

Our social back ground and pre-dispostion means from experiences we take different lessons.

I am happy to give you some life experiences but i would prefer not to air them on an open forum. I garuntee we had very different experiences and upbringings, I am sure i will shock you in more than one of them.

Was abused as a child

Was bullied big time at school

I lost a lot of friends. Not through death but I distanced myself from them because of drugs. Its a hard thing to deal with because its a problem thats so easilly avoidable. You kind of feel you could have done more to help but now theirs no way of knowing but you still have that desire to help.

The banter is always there - but I'd like to go back to the String Theory. I find this all very interesting because it challenges the concept that the Big Bang was the beginning of our universe, and also the beginning of time as we understand it. It leans towards a theory that the universe is in a state of change - that is we know that solar systems are expanding away from each other and at an accelerating pace (as opposed to what most thought would be a slower pace as energy disipated). The string theory also covers that matter could have been drawn together to the point of the Big Bang and then expanding and then to who knows what. The concept of multiple universes goes back to Quantum Physics and that we know that we can measure a particle's speed or location but not at the same time. Multiple universe thoughts (in the sixties I think) came from this fact and that because an outcome is unknown (e.g. Schroinger's cat experiment) that there are two divergent possibilities and many went as far as to say that every time that an action meets a choice then the universe splits. I personally find this almost impossible to believe but better brains than mine believe it to be. As for God the cosmic questions about Big Bang centre about whether god has always been, and existed before the BB (or even created it) - and now we look at going back even further in 'time'.

What you are saying Manly backer is 100% comprehensible to me. Its reasonably new, but the idea that every choice made by every person splits the universe infinite times is fairly comprehnsible. It lends to us now the possibility that there are infinite world lines all travelling together but diverging from each other.

Actually one of the reasons I have a problem with an infinite number of universes is that we are all connected together by this web site. We know the Bulldogs are Premiers, we know when Manly lost a game, we know who is PM etc etc. Why is it that all of us come on here nearly every day and know all these same pieces of information with all the different things that are happening and we haven't split in to another 'path' of reality :?:

The other paths of reality are not yet revealed revealed and are therefore not a viable option for us at this point in time. Though I have heard of one person that claims another reality has indeed broken into this cosmos and is available as a path. Anyone else heard of that?

Also, your theory of connectedness has some issues. I think Hecks is great whilst others think he is crap. :? That's not too good for connectedness. However, if there is a qualitative measure to apply to the performance of Hecks, that makes for an interesting talking point doesn't it?
