This week there have been 2 notable SMH articles with "Manly blindness". Both by Christian Nicolussi:

This article attempts to compare great teams from different eras. It does St George 1950s, Souths 1960s, then skips to Parra and Canterbury in the 80s. HEY WHAT ABOUT MANLY 4 premierships in 6 years in the 1970s???

Dogs only won 2 comps in the era featured, also Canberra. There are graphs with win percentages etc. Manly's 70s team and the 95-97 team have better win percentages. Yet Manly not featured (gets a vague reference in a quote by David Gillespie).

Then this Child’s fare to Las Vegas? Meet the NRL’s shortest player

Tooves not even mentioned, and he was clearly the best short player ever! Closely followed by Matt Orford and Wally O'Connell. No manly shorties mentioned at all.
