Kerry Hemsly (tigers) and Geoff Robinson (puppies) are 2 that come to mind.I met Hemsly at Orange racecourse years ago,and he couldn't believe I remembered him.One of the hardest hitters of his era.They reckon that robinson used to eat raw meat-don't know about that,but he was an animal on the field!

My definition would be one who makes the opposition attack look at the the player coming in rather than concentrating on playing the ball.

All good names in this thread. I loved those days but there are still plenty around today. But back then my memorable hardmen were Randall, Dowling, Davidson, O'Neill, Cement, Roberts & Spud to name a few.
