Just announced on NBN News that Burher has signed with Newcastle to make room for Bird

Can't find anything on the NBN website and the Knights version of Silvertails is just like here .... all sorts of rumors firing off

A NRL player confirmed tonight that Akuila Uate HAS SIGNED FOR MANLY.
But sssssshhhhh
It's a secret .

I had a laugh when I seen that Manly had finally announced Uate signed -I don't write Chinese whispers- I speak to the Player involved before I announce anything : especially when it attracted so many negatives from my attached post from nearly 2 months ago.

You're living in denial. NBN news wouldn't announce unless it happened, this is Newcastle - they don't leave their fans out in cold. Heaven forbid that the media got it wrong.... btw it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the NRL site to update. The NRL is soooooo efficient! @:smirk:
No, I was not living in denial. I never said that he had or hadn't signed with the Knights. I was just pointing out that as at Fri 30 Sep, 2016, 3:45pm, there was no sign of Jamie Buhrer's name in either the Manly 'Outs' or Newcastle "Ins" lists on the NRL.com website article for confirmed player moves and retirements for the Telstra Premiership ahead of the 2017 NRL season. As you said, his signing was announced on NBN news later that night after the NRL confirmed signings was last updated so obviously it happened after the NRL had updated their listings. At least now it has been confirmed officially by the clubs concerned instead of relying on media reports which are quite often wrong or based on rumours and innuendo (the Brett Stewart 2009 media reports come immediately to mind).

What our team needs 2017

MANLY-WARRINGAH SEA EAGLES

Key 2016 stats: Attack 12th, Defence 12th, Tackle Breaks 15th, Completion Rate =6th

What they've got: A team that continues to be on the wane despite a big turnaround of playing talent (and coach) at the start of the year. Jamie Lyon's retirement marks an end of an era for the Sea Eagles, with the Trbojevic brothers looking like the most exciting part of the club's future. Recent recruits like Dylan Walker, Martin Taupau and Matt Parcell have made decent starts to their Manly careers but haven't quite made the impact the club would have hoped – and the same can be said of coach Trent Barrett.

What they need: A specialist half to partner with Daly Cherry-Evans, with Lyon, Walker and Apisai Koroisau having all been tried at five-eighth in 2016. The team also lacked attacking spark this year to be ranked second last in tackle breaks despite featuring some gifted ball-runners in Taupau and Tom Trobejevic. They've had a big clean-out of playing talent at the end of 2016 so will be looking to add some depth.

What they're getting: Melbourne's Blake Green and Titans young gun Cameron Cullen fit the bill as a couple of halves options to cover both the short and long term.
UPDATE: The Sea Eagles have brought in Knights winger Akuila Uate, a gifted attacking weapon albeit one who has had an erratic past few seasons. Jamie Buhrer left the club for Newcastle as part of the deal.

No, it'll be more like...

1. Tom Trbojevic
2. Jorge Taufua
3. Dylan Walker
4. Steve Matai / DWZ (slight, slight chance)
5. Akuila Uate
6. Blake Green
7. Daly Cherry Evans
8. Darcy Lussick
9. Matt Parcell
10. Addin Fonua-Blake
11. Greg Bird (seems likely :()
12. Marty Tapau
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Suaia Matagi
15. Willis Meehan / Jamil Hoppa

Not a bad side at all IMO, but that's if the side actually does turn out like this and as I often say, only time will tell

I also think the big second rower Shaun Lane will also be in the mix

Oh yeah definately, completely forgot. He should definitely take up a bench spot now seeing Buhrer is gone and if either bird (if signed) and/or Tapau need a rest he can come on with some impact

You are spot on about Lane making an impact . In his first season at the dogs Lane was lethal. He does have the size power and skill.

Have we signed Matagi?
Not sure, but I thought someone said it was announced on the Panthers/Gus Gould twitter that he wouldn't be at the club next year so just working on an assumption that there's fire near that smoke.

With Michael Oldfield signing with the Panthers could DWZ be coming our way?????
That was another rumour floating around here. Oldfield is a downgrade from DWZ though, so the Panthers have lost out if it comes true

I just let the club know on facebook how I feel about today's announcement about Jamie Buhrer.
