Hull FC head coach Lee Radford has commented on recent speculation linking Sika Manu with a return to Australia.
Manu missed last weeks defeat to Wigan with a back injury, with rumours suggesting he was ill and heading home despite being under contract for next year.
Those rumours are untrue, with Manu nursing a back problem. The Tongan captain is set to have an operation before he returns to pre-season training in Novemeber.
“Sika was on the physio bed on Wednesday getting treatment for his back and he’s still here”, Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.
“He is going to have an operation before he goes home, but he’s got to have it seven days before his flight. He will be back in training with us on day one of pre-season I can assure everyone that.”
