Time for some good news threads....

SEA Eagle Brenton Lawrence may be better known for his exploits on the pitch, but you only have to hear from students to realise the impact he has had on their reading skills.

The Manly forward celebrated the conclusion of the a reading program with a Year 4 class at St John the Baptist Catholic School, in Freshwater, on Wednesday.

Lawrence and his Sea Eagles teammates have visited the class weekly for six weeks, and guided them on reading materials and activities, which are part of the NRL’s Rugby League Reads program for schools.

I wonder who else went along with BJ to help the kiddies?

Nice effort from the guys there!

Thanks @globaleagle

''Be Manly, go read a book, kids!''

(Or Rugby League Week if the little Eagles prefer)

My old primary school, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Good on the boys for getting amongst the community kids.
Read books and support Manly. Success lessons.
