Given the spray that was about when we traded Ferris to the knights for this guy my question is would any of you trade him for another NRL Wingman?

for me I dont think so. he has to odd mistake in him sure but the guy is a gun. footwork pace and just such a natural forty player.

The only one I might consider would be Rapana from the raiders.

thoughts?

No, more than happy with uate which is a surprise. No to rapana great player but a deadset muppet.

Uate over Rapana any day, he's the sort of bloke you'd want to play with. Rapana's too "emotional", gets the red mist etc. Uate plays with a reassuring calmness you can rely on.

Not then - not now
Predicted big things and panned out that way.
To be honest - Rapana is an unfair comparison to any winger - so dominant it's daylight second.

He's been sensational and he seems to love life on the beaches (who doesn't though).

One thing - I'm surprised by what a unit he is. Those shirt off pics in the sheds are mind blowing. I always thought he had a bit of pudge but his rig is bigger than Kapows. Impressive.

He's resurrected his career and back in top form so it'd be stupid to trade him now. The big fella's been huge for us this year.

There were a couple of times on Sat evening I would have liked to kick him to the kerb. However yes he has won me over, I was very sceptical about signing him, but more than happy, hope he continues this way

Win some - lose some, and in regard to general recruitment and in Uate "s case, a definite vindicated winner and of course now a great asset for the team. I guess a case of a club having the confidence and faith in recruiting a player who is considered able to again produce his best form in a favorable team structure and environment . [ and no doubt also the pleasant Northern beaches location probably helps as well ]

Never understood the hate towards his signing in the 1st place, was always a very low risk/high reward signing for us

Key will be how much upgrade we are going to give when the Knights stop paying him

Loving what he has done this season

But is the question honestly would we swap him for any other player on the wing?? Regardless of price?

Because off the top of my head Rapana, Holmes, Vunivalu, Mansour, Israel Folau possibly at his age Addo-Carr, Niccol Klokstad and Moses Suli

But yes he has been fantastic this year

Uate has been great. But I didn't see his defection as a direct swap with Buhrer, who is a backrower.
I'm still disappointed we punted Jamie. He would have been our first picked second rower, and his speed and footwork would have been invaluable to us this season. When you look at the backrowers we have this week wouldn't you have preferred to have Buhrer in our squad?

We have quite a few players come in and we have built them up only to be disappointed. Uate was not one of those. From last years effort/performance it more likely he would spend a season at Blacktown. Came cheap, if I was a knights fan I would be spewing. OK if I was a knights supporter I would be spewing anyway. Uate would have to be the buys of the year.

Brings enthusiasm to the side , a crowd favorite, and born again . Wouldn't swap him for all the tea in Tamworth.
