Worst selection error in Manly history.

Welcome to three years ago, he isn’t and never was worth defending

He is the softest most 1 dimensional starting player I e ever seen. He has no conviction or intensity in anything he does
His hands are woeful, you just know when he attempts to dig into the line he forgets that he needs to hold on to the pill.

Not worse than 2013 when Hiku was in great form got us to a gf and we hooked him to bring in (back from injury) Brett Stewart who was playing on one leg, there was moments in that second half where we won with Hiku at fullback.

I have been a big supporter of him but these bench selections are getting ridiculous. Not even including tonight, why is Waddell an automatic selection on the bench every week to play the final 5 minutes of games? Bloody pointless
Burbo, Jurbo at 13, Waddell in. There’s a ring to this mate.

I think he’s scarred from the Broncs experience and he’s doing all he can to keep the senior players onside.

It is so bleeding obvious to every Tom Dick and Harry that we are light on in the middle. We get an injury to our best starting prop before kick off. We have too many old slow legged forwards in the side but happen to have a young middle with plenty of leg speed on the bench. The coach has seen how Bully is our most effective forward through the guts with his leg speed. But somehow he sees a 90kg winger as the best option to come into the side. We lose our best defensive middle in the first seven minutes to further compound this idiotic selection.
Obviously hyperbole in your title, Wolfman in the 2013 GF was definitely worse.

Aside from that, you're correct. That said, not picking Navale is not the reason we lost the game. DCE, the world-class halfback seeking $1.1 mil, playing second fiddle to Luke Brooks and Lehi Hopoate, is.

I think falaulo was on the bench because they didn't trust Saab to get through the game and he did look doubtful at times. Saab goes down, burbo to centre, and we all know how that goes.

Unfortunately, Jake got ruled out early.

But if Saab went off early, falaulo would have been a masterstroke.
I'm pretty sure faulolo ended up coming in for Talau who seemed to be proppy on one leg late in the 2nd half but Saab definitely didn't look 100 percent. He definitely didn't seem confident in at least one of our outside backs but putting a winger on the bench wasn't the move.

A bigger and better masterstroke would’ve been picking players you knew were ready for an 80 minute game. If that many Clayton in and Saab out to begin with, then so be it

Our unfit, slow and old forwards need the interchanges of four forwards in the bench

You have a good memory god.

Slater was hailed as a SuperCoach for picking Selwyn on the pine in Origin last year, I don’t like an outside back on the bench personally, though if the cards fell like Slaters it would be deemed a great selection.

The middle is where we lost the game and the consistent selection of Tevega at nine for me deserves greater criticism, being to conservative with team selections doesn’t win you games.

Feeds his fat mediocrity loving face with maccas then falls asleep.
I think his main problem is he just refuses to strengthen the fundamental areas that make a footy team tough and hardened. Then there is his weak attitude. What the Dogs did to that player who showed up to training late is the kind of win at all costs or f*** off to another club attitude that wins premierships.

Bellamy has it, Cleary has it, Ciraldo has it, Benji is showing signs these past two years that he has it, McGuire has it, Robbo has it, Bennett has it, Flanagan has it, Spoon doesn't. He is a soft, touchy feely, new age coach. Spoon will get skinned and badly exposed next week.
