Worst ever crowd number at Brookie for an NRL game

I just heard that there was an A-League game yesterday that only got 1,600 people through the gates. Gold Coast V Melb Heart.
That is pretty piss poor. It lead me to start thinking about the worst ever crowd at Brookie for a Manly or even a Nthn beagles game.

I can't think of a crowd figure less than 4000 even in hurricane conditions. I could be wrong but what do you all reckon is the lowest crowd figure Manly have had at home?

Played the Cowboys on a rainy Sat arvo one year and got around 2000 people. Cant remeber the year or exact figure but I was there and it was piss poor.

I think we played souths(?) one day in pretty bad conditions.Hadlee and co were actually confident they could count the crowd.I think thaty little rat field was with us at the time.

The worst ever was 1785 (Manly v Canterbury 19-Jul-1964), quite a few lowish numbers in the 50s and 60s.

The lowest in the last 20 years is 2506 (Manly v Gold Coast 11-May-1997).

Disagree.  A League crowd numbers meant zilch when it came to the vote.  A world cup in this country would have been huge and all sports would have benefited from it in the long run.

Inflated crowd figures were all the go that year and the truth was the first casualty. I was at Cliffy's (supposed) last game against the Cowboys and if there was a thousand there that day I would be surprised, no matter what the figures said.

CW,that GC game was the game I was thinking of,I'm sure.The commenators on the radio were trying to actually coiunt the crowd (might have been Brohman).
