Far out Barrett has a debilitating influence on decent talent - we really got off easy - he coulda made Turbo a weak version of Gutho, made DCE worse than Milford, never signed Foran so he could keep playing Walker at 5/8th, and never given Schuster a start - so he could play Waddell in the back row instead.

No doubt he hasn't consistently lived up to his price tag. Not even close. He has had some good games, but nothing close to how he was playing with the Broncos. Performance wise Flanagan, Allan, Waddell and Cotric were consistently woeful. Trent does that to his players. As we well know.

don't underestimate who is passing fafita the ball.

Being played completely wrong by Holbrook mostly due to lack of talent around the guy.

Imagine him off a foran or munster.

He certainly didn’t look to take a run when they were trying to work up field for a shot at goal. He’s just a highlight reel player at this stage.

I reckon Barrett has improved as a coach.

Here he had a potential top 6 team and we was lucky to avoid the spoon.

This year he has the worst roster in the comp and has sewn up that last spot with a few weeks up his sleeve.

His consistency simply cannot be overlooked, a win rate of 33% is unheralded.

Not to mention he is a complete forkwit.

He is a flat track bully - nothing else. He rarely ever taks the hard carry especially to get them out of trouble. He is super running against the smaller men - but goes missing if a Kikau. Haumole etc is up agaisnt him. His defence is generally poor laterally. His effort is woeful. Would I want him in our side... no. Because he wants to be a star and be paid the big money but when the game needs to be won in the trenches.... you will not see him. That does not create team harmony and a tight culture where you do anything for the guy next to you. He is a high priced show pony.

Certainly truth in a lot of that but the worst signing of the year up against Cotric, Flanagan, Allen even a mid season Townsend.

No, he is overpaid no doubt but he can win a game on his own, Holbrook just needs to get more consistency out of him

im a glass half full kinda guy. to me twent has a 91% loss record this year 🙂

Poor young Tom Dearden would be a contender, based on result, 10 games for the cows for 10 straight set defeats actually his career stats are worse than Barrett’s coaching record, his career win rate % is 12 that’s not first grade wins which currently stand at just 4 since entering grade with the donkeys in 2019.
