World Cup 2022

Peta Hiku had a strong game.

Really liked him as a player when he was at Manly. Always gave his best and was handy in attack.

Did a lot of great stuff off the ball that went unnoticed also.

Shame we couldn’t have kept him.

Seems a lifetime ago we had him, but I agree fully with what you say.

Given he’s been to a few clubs now,I’m guessing Manly were never destined to keep him long term anyway.Seems like he’s never really settled or he likes to see a bit of the world,so to speak

As JenEagle said, we moved him on during the Great Bazification. He was fantastic for us from his debut on, especially as cover for Snake, and has always been such a natural player. And he seemed very settled here. But we punted him. Penrith picked him up, then the Warriors, I think, and now he's found a home at the Cowboys.

That game defining try was 💯% due to Smith's laziness. Irrespective of the fact he fell off the tackle, he was slow getting into position and then slow off the line. This created half a chance that the Aussies were good enough to capitalise on.

He was gassed - even after the penalty he was hanging on to the ball trying to further slow the game

Spot on, he was out for the count. Fisher -Harris tries pushing him into position to defend on the line and he can't get there. He had the look of someone needing a HIA but through sheer exhaustion

I hate seeing this kind of one-sided favouritism for the home country. It's bad enough they were given a huge draw leg up let alone ridiculous reffing decisions. I am now happy to see England get pumped. Karma.

Samoa doing much better than I imagined.
Paulo definitely will be suspended this time! And his mate with him, equally guilty I thought but only Junior in the bin.

Discipline raising its ugly head for Samoa. Great early kick to pin England down on their line and then immediately give away the penalty for inside the 10 to let England off the hook. That's really inexcusable. Luckily for Samoa, England have looked off the pace so far.

And then again. The very next set down on England's line they give away the penalty on first tackle. Shooting themselves in the foot ala Manly 2022
