Sadly, for the sport of boxing, the entire card was ridiculous. Some of those blokes were lucky to get out of the ring alive. Mismatched bouts make the sport a joke. That gives me the sh1ts, because I love the sport. 😡

Willis Meehan starts playing for Manly NSW Cup next week . He's a growing boy : up to 131 kg.

His dad, Kali, works in some capacity for us. You know, the heavyweight boxer. He lost to Joseph Parker last year, the same bloke that beat Solomon Haumono this week.

I've heard really good things about him.

My brother's been talking Willis Meehan up, but my brother's an idiot so that doesn't count.

He's 6 4. Zerotackle has him at 115 at 20 when he was at the roosters.

The Knights had two giant brothers playing today. They proved that you need more than size to be a good footballer. Perhaps they are young and will improve.

Willis 6 ft 5 " . He's not fat at all. His last fight on Foxtel , he was 129.8 kg .But he said he has put on a couple of kg of muscle - now 131.

Hasn't been named again in any grade wonder if he will get a run this year

He's neither a Vave or Sam Kasiano body shape, but he's certainly tall enough to carry more playing weight than Vave.
With his history of conditioning in boxing and rugby league, I'm sure his dad and the Manly trainers would easily accommodate requirements for getting the best out of him.
I can't wait to see or hear about his first few games back

Bit weird hey. Named a few weeks ago to then just disappear. Might have been a bit of mis-communication about his clearance. The Joke Kelly Has been known to send paperwork to the wrong email address. The wrong country. Or so they say.

Keep an eye out for the NSW CUP team that takes the field on Saturday : expect a late change.
And yes there were a few issues with Willis's former club with some administration concerns
Which have now been sorted out .

10-0 up so far. Good start from the NSW cup boys, interesting that AFB and Leary are backing up, not that they played too many minutes last night.
