Wifi booster

So the nbn man dug a trench to the bedroom end of the house, them the tech turned up and said it's wrong blah blah blah. Stupid me said "ahh all good, just chuck it in the bedroom." So now down the other end of the house service is farked, do those Wifi boosters actually work etc or is there another idea. Keeping in mind I'm technologically retarded!

I am not an IT person, we put this one in and it works in the shed. We had other ones prior to this that were crap though.

Hit and miss for me. I use one currently and it works OK, although the range doesn't really get tested given that I live in an apartment. When I was living in OZ, we used a couple in our house but they were pretty crap (but cheap). I think ultimately with wifi extenders, you get what you pay for so I wouldn't go cheap unless that is all you can afford.

This is the one I’ve got. The bloke at JB Hifi said it’s a piece of piss to set up. Unfortunately I am in the same class as you @47MVEagle . I eventually gave up, and called the Computer Geeks. I thought I’m going to get shafted here, but to my surprise he was great. He fixed up and updated heaps of stuff to get the NBN purring. I wish I’d called him earlier. Our house is very long, but the speed I’ve got now with the extender is brilliant....no more buffering or straight out dropping out on you.
This is the extender I’m using....all green....very happy.
