Why Manly coach Trent Barrett’s pitch struck cord with five-eighth Blake Green

He came to Manly because the Storm had other options at 5/8 with Slater taking the fullback spot from Cameron Munster who can also play 5/8
He excelled in the Super league comp which is not that Super compared to the NRL level and he was steady at the Storm .
At 30 years of age he should have the experience to steer our team around, something that was lacking in 2016
and if he produces anything else above that will be a bonus
Barrett came to us with good endorsement and after a disappointing 2016 he has not been able to prove to any one in the results driven business whether he can or cant coach .
Failure is unacceptable in our proud and successful Manly culture and all players and coaching staff will be under the pump and raring to go which is a good thing to look forward to this season

Green can play, don't worry about that. I thought he was very under rated last year and played some super footy. He will go alright
