Why Manly are the most frustrating team in the NRL

To be fair, this was also on the back of a very very dubious 40/20 call, that can't be checked, for "reasons", despite the bunker being able to go back numerous sets of six to punish things.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't every possible 40/20 checked?... the same as every drop out situation is reviewed? Or is it purely discretionary? I assumed this was the rule procedure. 🤷‍♂️

I had coffee this morning down at the Surf Club with Big Scotty the Bulldoggy, John the Raider, Stewie the Knight and mumbles the Bunny .

I can assure you every fan of every team, feels exactly the same way.

I'd make friends with them just to hang out with those nicknames!

What's yours btw?

Sounds like you need to find some better friends @:D

I don’t know why, but when Woodsie mentioned his mates’ names, this came to mind ….

I put it down to our halfbacks game management style. (Most will say lack there of, but it is deliberate)

That mentality of All or nothing plays in attack.

When everything goes your way, the team are flat track bullies.

When everything doesn't go there way, the lack of respect for the pill, lack of possession and just the lack of building pressure breaking a team down has obvious consequences.

Its always a flashy try as it has to be.

We lost 3 games recently, but there was actually a lot of nice stuff done in those games, a real change of playing style in the game management front.

You can see the coaching staff are looking to have this team grind more and defend there way to victory.

But Its a work in progress.

i can't understand how they couldn't have over ruled that 40/20 call as the play had been stopped, no different to a touch in goal where they always check to verify how the ball went 'dead'

There were two bad decisions against the Eagles in that 2nd half that had a massive momentum shift. In addition to the Penrith 40/20 you mention there was also the Penrith bomb that Turbo took with his foot clearly on our try line. That should have been our 20 metre tap instead of a goal line drop. Both decisions were clearly reviewed by the bunker (and commented on by the Fox team) but the on-field decision was allowed to stand. Seriously then they wonder why supporters and coaches whinge and whine about the quality of referring.
Yep, and things can turn very quickly on the back of some very poor refereeing (both ways to be fair).
Imagine if we had no more challenges left and the penalty v Turbo on our line was allowed to stand ( was it 16-10 at that stage?).
