Why do we not look at Rugby talent anymore?

Rugby league stopped buying rugby union stars when the NRL and UK Super League decided the salary cap was enforced. Now league can't compete with the money from top RU clubs and national bodies. Get rid of the salary cap & the richer NRL clubs would be back in the market.

Here’s some other reasons why we should not:
Gutherson; and
Verrills.
Excellent Manly juniors (the real kind, not ersatz ones like North Sydney’s Foran) now playing elsewhere.
Concentrate on our own backyard.
