Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

The club is naming a team at the 60th dinner? We are making a Silvertails team. Who would you nominate as best centre?

First one is easy:

Bozo - an immortal and best ever Manly player

Who gets the second spot?

Ray Branighan?
John Macdonald
John Dorahy
Terry Hill
Craig Innes
Michael O'Connor

We have had so many stars over the years - who to put in and who have I left out?

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

Bozo because Lyons would be my 5/8

then it would be hard to split hill and innes

i would go hill for fact he played more games for the club

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

The vote will go to O'Connor but I'd say Innes on straight talent.

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

jesus how hard is this!

do you play Bozo at 5/8 then you have Hill and Oconnor

or if cliffy plays then it has to be Hill and Bozo

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

Nigel Roy right up there.

Innes and Fulton.

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

i thought roy played for the bears

Bozo and hill would get my votes then oconner and innes not far behind. Bell in his first 11 games has shown the form of the forementioned

no way would i pick that dog occonor he was a good player for us but he was a big player in the thing that nearly killed our club (super league)

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

Frogs Eyes played in 2 premierships I think, what about Darrell Williams?

O'Connor was a legend who was the most talented guy going around.
Hill was amazing in attack and defence and the best centre of the mid-90s.
Innes is the most underrated centre of just about all time. The probably didn't have the talent of the other two, but was unbelievable technically sound in offence and especially defence.
I'd have to go Snoz - the man who made me go for Manly.

I forgot about Russell Gartner who did play in two premiership teams before he left, Booth was voted for on the wing.

A lot of good centres in the early days as well. Manly always had a free flowing backline style of play.

Who would you nominate as Manly's best ever centres?

O'Connor and Innes for me- both would complement each other nicely

What about Choppy & Crusher possibly the bigest centre pairing in history
Crusher played nearly all his games for Manly as a 2nd Rower. Choppy played well at times and excelled for QLD. However Kenny and Ella regularly cut him to pieces in club games and he never really reached the top echelon.

I have a very strong childhood memory of Les and Noel Cleal playing as youngsters for Northern Division against the touring Gt Britain side at Scully Park in the early 70s and absolutely smashing them in both attack and defence. Northern beat them about 40 to 18 with the Cleals totally dominatiing. A year or so later they headed to Easts and you know the rest.
