Who should coach us

This club last peaked when it had passionate Manly men who were natural winners masterminding a path to the top. This club was as good as dead around 2003 so to imagine that success was around the corner was unbelievable. The following years saw Hasler, Toovey and Singe band together and form a hardened squad of good mates. It led to the biggest grand final victory which was made sweeter by the fact that it was a shut out of the most hated side of the modern era. A 2nd title was achieved a few years later over and we contentiously fell short of a 3rd shortly after that.

Tooves held the place together pretty well after Des left and Des wasn’t able to replicate his success the 2nd time around without the team that he had for the 1st run.

People keep saying it because it’s true. As long as Penn owns the club, it’s hard to imagine that we will be successful on the field

I don't want Bennett here, he is a short term fix.
Every club he has left falls into a worse hole than we are currently in and takes years to recover.
Ummm yeah… his 7 premierships say otherwise. Or are you concerned we don’t back it up the year after winning a premiership?

Josh Hannay, isnt that who Des recommended that he would want to take over when he left, but again, if Des wanted him, then Penn would have put a line straight through his name

I think it’s pretty simple , a Silvertails collective , because after all there’s some ****ing experts on here.

Why waste millions chasing Bennett when you can have “ the Silvertails Collective “ for almost nothing.

It would be rotational, 1 motivational coach , 1 for the forwards , 1 for the backs .
So who’s first up??

@BOZO For motivational coach for sure

I don’t have a problem with Seilbold
There could be more Manly as his assistants that’s for sure ,
Theres Ballin and Monaghan working currently with Nrl clubs
There are some involved in lower grades so maybe Seilbold will bring them up as they progress

Anthony Watmough is the head coach of Manly's Sydney Shield side for 2024.
Sea Eagles players, Brett Stewart,Matt Orford, Jamie Buhrer, Solomon Haumono and David O’Donnell all in coaching roles at the club.

Stewart is the assistant coach of their SG Ball team.
While Haumono is the assistant coach to Manly's Lisa Fiaola Cup side
Orford and Buhrer are involved in the club's under-16 development program.

I'd like to see Peter Sharp given another chance with Trent Barrett and Brad Arthur as assistants.

PS That Manly DNA is long dead and cant be revived, its a generational thing.
I understand that Peter has now changed his surname by Deed Poll to ‘Instrument’.

As in a blunt one.

As much as people want make fun of Brad Arthur, Manly’s defence under his tutelage was good enough to see them into the 2013 Grand Final.

Hasn’t happened since.
