What a load of trollop. As much as we all like BJ, he was never in the class of the Stewarts or Kite. People say he has been outstanding this year - well he has given his all that is for sure; however, outstanding?

Outstanding for a prop is a 180m, 40 tackle effort in a game - that is outstanding, BJ has made 286m and 91 tackles in three games with an average of 95m and 30 tackles - hardly outstanding. He also has the equal highest error count in the team and gives away quite a few penalties - again, not outstanding.

Don't get me wrong, he tries very hard and is a quality person, but I think emotion can cloud people's judgement. And yes, age is a factor that you just can't ignore - 33 next year which will see those stats get worse, not better.

Perhaps a re read and maybe a little understanding of 'metaphor' might serve you well. My point was 'don't put the boot into someone whom is currently a very important part of our culture........'

I do understand 'bean counters' never understand culture in any meaningful way.....such is life.

nah, he'll just take it with dignity, but he won't be able to stop others undermining the teams morale.....consciously or otherwise. That's culture for ya....and it would depend on when and how and etc.

Bean counter am I? I didn't realise you knew me so well. What would I know about culture, spot on.

BTW, people giving an opinion not to re-sign someone is hardly putting the boot in. Oh and I don't think I'm the one who needs to understand what a metaphor is...more like a tanty.
