Who replaces Kelly ??

maxta

First Grader
Firstly think he has some quality ability, but definately dropped form in a long, big step up , first NRL season.
I actually like what he has done as an unknown, but mistakes and defence has recently stood out to the point he may need a spell.
Not sure why some ppl get offended that the best thing for Manly, could be to give someone else a go....but do think we are thin on troops out wide.
Who is an option??
Parker??
Not much else....thoughts??

I think this kid will play 200 games for us, at the moment he should be dropped for a couple of weeks until he earns a spot back. Parker could be an option, not really anyone else we could go with I think thats the big reason why he hasnt been touched.

Walker went off just in to the second half so we may not have a choice in the matter, mate. He'll continue to keep his spot.

On that note does anyone know anything further on Walkers injury?

Parker is the one that jumps to mind. That said, it is still a huge gamble. Will Parker step up and be an improvement? How will the change affect the team dynamics and psychology? Will dropping Kelly potentially cause more damage than good if we are to believe he has potential and is here for at least next year? What are the longer term plans for centre beyond this season?

In my opinion, our recent poor performances are due to injuries and inevitable changes to a team dynamic that had found some cohesion and were performing synergistically. The smallest of changes to a team's personnel can have a larger than expected impact on team performance.

At the game, I did notice Walker limping noticeably after one (of the many) Storm tries. Even if he's back next week, I'm worried he's carrying a chronic injury and it's having an impact on his performances. Those barnstorming kamikaze runs out of our half have disappeared in recent weeks.

Parker
Bigger
Stronger
Faster
We need to make some changes to wake some players up , other wise we breed complacency in the team .

I was watching Walker limping a few minutes into the game, didn't seem too serious

Walker has been carrying his shoulder for a few weeks now, and to top it off looks like a leg injury. If we lose him for a few weeks will be a massive blow
We will definitely lose some attacking flair and power, although if he is indeed out then Parker can at least make up for it somewhat. Got some power that kid, also not too bad with his pace. If he misses a week or two it'd be a big loss, although we've got a pretty good replacement

Kelly shot duck no confidence. Maybe out of box move wright to centre and kelly to wing.
Spot on feathered friend .
That's what happens when you leave young players exposed week in week out at the mercy of stronger and faster opposition . Their confidence gets shot .

Seriously we need a reality check. We will not win this competition. This thread bags a centre...seriously how bad was Wright. Stupid penalty, stupid strip....game over. When you play the competition leaders you cannot make mistakes. Discounting the again biased refereeing... again very poor. Boy I would like to sit with the referee's and critique their performance. This would be hands down the worst game I game I have seen from Turbo.

We are way behind the top four right now. We didn't deserve it.

Kelly was very ordinary on the wing in that City Country game.
It gives me no pleasure agreeing with you as I like nothing more than to see our Sea eagles shine at rep level but Kelly was way out of his depth in that GAME the way he is at NRL level .

It's the first FULL season in firsts for Tom, Kell, Winter, Api, AFB, Perrett. Then we've got Cullen, Hastings, Wright, Uate, Green, Lane, Siro new to the club and some coming out of reserves last year. They've done well till last few weeks when the length and severity of an NRL season kicks in. It's not jyst the werkly games but the training is also brutal. It's really showing now in their performances. I think we have to accept that just getting into the 8 was going to be a huge effort. Any higher or better is looking forlorne.

There no doubt it was a risk when matai retired. But to me it simply too risky to continue put parker in there.

Agreed. Wright was worse than Kelly today.
