Who excites you the most .. Newbies .. UPDATE

I was pondering which one of the new and almost new guys I am most excited about seeing play this year .. some may cement a spot and get plenty of game time .. others may be blooded later in the year if injuries hit ..

Some will hit the ground running .. others may struggle .. but that is part and parcel of footy.

I have chosen the 2 I am most excited about seeing .. not necessarily those that I think will be the most successful ..

We have no shortage of new and slightly used faces to choose from .. picking one was almost impossible .. so you get 2 picks.

Schuster & Guacamole.

I cant understand why Guacamole didnt get more opportunities last year when he blitzed it in his appearances in 2019.

I settled on Foran and Guacamole .. mainly because I think if they fire they will both have a big impact on the performance of the team .. Foran with the general creativity and organisation of our attack, and 6th tackle options ... and Guacamole for a more dynamic and powerful pack in attack and defence ..

Schuster by a mile....or a km....with Aloiai sure to add energy and the 2 wingers...1 if not both will be well known by seasons end in a positive way....I already see Guacamole as a superstar in the making and yet to understand why did not feature after being best on field in his 2nd or 3rd appearance....

Looking at this years squad, one thing that stands out for me is that it's a squad that has plenty of points in it.

As long as the defence stays relatively strong, we'll have the ability to outscore most teams.

Burbo and Haumole for me. Sure, Schuster is a gun and the surprise will be if he doesn't turn out to be one of the best in the comp in time. But we lack a bit of class in the backrow and we need the young guys like Burbo and Haumole to come through for us.

Schuster and Davey. Schuster for obvious reasons but I think Davey could surprise us all this season. Would also love to see Burbo given a run off the bench early in the year.

Schuster & Foran because I think they are the players who will have most immediate impact on the team's performance. I am looking forward to seeing all the players listed, however, some probably won't appear in the NRL this year unless there are many injuries.

With the way that we have talked some of these young guys up it is a bloody difficult choice. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing if the rookie Davey has what it takes to make it in the big league. While I am excited about the likelihood of the Shoe showing his wares, and the battle of the height unrestricted wingers in 2021, as many others have pointed out, and not sure why we didn't see more of him in 2020, am definitely keen to see the Guace smash some av.

I am excited for all our players in this new season because they all have the opportunity to strive to another level and live up to all the great things that our Legendary club stands for and create another proud moment of premiership winning history .

Looking at Woodsies list of players ....

Schuster is so self assured and confident who backs up his dynamic natural brilliance and stands out on the field like dogs balls , And Nothing stands out more than dogs balls !

Foran has been there and has won everything and seems very keen to do it again.
In a team of disappointing non achievers last season . It is great to welcome back one of our Grand final winners.

Josh Aloiai is the eyes of the Tiger in our Eagles pack that lacked intimidation last season

Guacamole is big ,tough ,uncompromising , intimidating , aggressive and and should have seen more game time last season

Saddler is another intimidating , aggressive no fear player that puts his body and soul on the line
He was going great guns before he got injured .

Saab , Tuipulotu and Koula are the Wings of an Eagle that can truly fly .
As we all have seen . Speed Kills and the faster you go the bigger the mess

Davey , They say attitude is everything and Davey could be anything

Ben Burbo has the DNA to go all the way
