What's this stuff Barrett says every week about Manly in the game for 60 minutes & now seems DCE has taken the bait.
The thing I see every week is a team that runs 1 out, looks lost in attack near the opposition try line...& once the other team can control repeat sets of possession, they bang on 3-4 quick tries to totally control the contest.
Hoping this game swings, otherwise it will be more of the same in the 2nd half....why not some second phase, or bodies in motion like the Cows...to at least make the defence 2nd guess....played footy once 1st half with support & scored a 70 metre try...why not more of that??

We generally look like a football team who are being coached to not loose as opposed to trying to win.

If you tell yourself don't hit the golf ball in the water, what are you focused on? and where does the ball go?

If only our team and coaching problems ended there.

But your spot on, we had more off loads in the second half of tonights game then probably the entire season put together.

We improved a fraction, but if we put it into perspective, we were still so terrible in so many areas tonight.

When it mattered 2 quick tries to the cows in about 5 minutes.

Personally I think we are now that bad, some games, that teams sometimes take it easy, on us, that is how comfortable they are with knowing they will get the win. Cows played they're worst game of the year.

That they scored so effortlessly when it mattered says it all.

When was the last time we had a forward who could run into a gap with a pass laid on by a half? Watmough 4 years ago? Jake T, Taupau, Myles are not fast or agile enough to do that, while Brown, Leary, Buhrer are too small. Why do we have no edge runners in between the former and latter groups?

Buhrer has been killing it every game he has been back. Find another talking point. You aren't painting yourself in any kind of intelligent light. We would have Tapou hitting the edges if we didn't have Myles Lawrence and Knight injured and T red sold off with Mateo calling the clubs bluff. Tonight showed there are some decent players in the team but we need some decent coaching to pull it together.

No doubt Buhrer doing well & though can be classified a light weight back rower, delivers big minutes, solid defence...fact is still Manly need a bit more "flair" in attack....most teams have the ability to pick up easy metres through offloads, shifts & tip ons, yet Manly still in the 1 out & kick on 6 zone....
The 2nd half tonight momentum was built on 2nd phase play , better support & a little unpredictability...great to see more of it.

I thought we were better tonight but I don't buy anymore of these excuses we keep hearing from the club.

We had Tommy T, Jorge, Dylan Walker, Lyon, DCE, Api, Kapow, Jake T, AFB, Darcy and Vave playing tonight. That's enough good players to win some games and the fact that our defensive structure still look so awful is down to coaching. Since round 1 we have looked poorly coached.

We are now getting close to our worst ever number of losses in a row. Worst in the history of the club. Surely that is not acceptable.

Some of these comments are a bit harsh. Cows weren't good at all but we mixed it with them on their turf. We are 3rd last, they are what 4th. It was an improvement and we didn't get killed by injuries, Luke we seem to every week this year. Let's head to brookie and beat the dragons and then go from there. At 18-4 down at the half it could have been ugly but we hung in there. Some bad mistakes at the end from Tom and Dylan cost us, but that is our 2016 it seems.

If your fullback folds like a washing lady you get no momentum. We start seven or eight metres behind every other team in the comp and that works its way up to twenty or thirty after the opposition forwards work out how easy it is to smash our kick returner. Matai is missing but just shows up our inept fullback

We had a lot of good performers tonight. Unfortunately, Lyon was not sighted; Stewart was only slightly better than he has been over the past month; and Walker was poor in both attack and defence. When you have three players who are supposed to lead by example doing the opposite then in was a fine effort to almost beat the 'Boys.
