I was off the field receiving treatment when Bobby Grant darted through the hole where I would have been standing in the defense line to score the match sealing try in the 1970 Grand Final.

You got me on this one, anything before 1972 I will struggle.

Was it a forward or back?

Well I'll have to own up to a bit of uncertainty now. My memory has it as Ian Martin, but the wikipedia entry on this game says half Eddie Whiley was off injured when Grant scored his first try of the game.

Doesn't mean Martin wasn't off when Grant scored his second, which was straight through a yawning hole off the edge of the ruck....but I was 9 at the time so will have to concede I've posted a trivia question without being 100% sure of the answer. sorry
uppercut self administered  :-X
