What I don't understand is the implicit assumption that by expressing an opinion that we are travelling poorly means I and others are not as passionate and committed as the optimists among us. I have been a financial member for over 15 years and a supporter for over 50 years and I yell and scream as loudly as anyone else on game day. I have traveled around Australia and to the other side of the world to watch our team play and yet I and others are labeled negatively because we think the coach is crap and the team under performing.

Why can't we have differing opinions and still all be passionate supporters???

Never once have I doubted your passion buddy.

I may not agree with some of the things you say but I know you are Maroon and White to the very core!!

The main comment I'd add is we are at game 1, if we'd won you'd all be feeling totally different.

We didn't, and you all want to slit your wrists.

Rebuilds are never easy, and this is one from the very core up.

We will lose more than we win in 2017.

But we will be better set for the 2018-2020 finals charge by the end ( subject to signings for 2018).

Have patience , have faith and if that fails have a beer!

Either to see how they've changed in 5 years, or see old friends from 5 years ago.

And little Tyson, well he's just finished year 12 and going into Uni I think.

Those were the days, I don't know about them being " true" but by golly they were passionate and committed.

I should add, it's easy to be passionate and committed when we are winning,and back then we did ( and often), including games like Bob mentioned where we were well behind at half time v the Donkeys and came back to win.

Running the MWTS then was a lot of work but one of great joy, seeing their faces after a win, celebrating long and hard after a win ( especially singing those songs in the Caxton Hotel car park surrounded by Donkey supporters) has given me some wonderful memories.

I'm sure we will see those days again, and as I say patience is a virtue.
