Certainly looking forward to seeing Tommy and Moses having a good year... Great poll... But my vote goes to Addin Fonua-Blake. If all goes well the beast should become the undisputed number one prop of the comp. And I'm hoping to see some more crowd baiting such as the boo-hoo gesture we saw last year.

All of them but in the poll I chose:

Turbo - hope to see him have an injury free season so he can really establish himself as the most exciting back in the NRL.

Suli - I've got a soft spot for Moses, maybe because I saw his NRL debut for the Tigers after hearing the talk about him & he delivered the goods that night. It was great to see him starting to recapture that form towards the end of last season.

Parker - gotta love a local junior ginger ninja. I thought he copped the rough end of the stick being played out of position on the wing under Barrett so have been really happy to see him make centre his position with Walker playing at 5/8th. Hope he too has an injury free season & continues to build on the base he's established.

Horhay Ta-Foo-Wa - because he perpetuates the Spirit of Matai with his devastating hits.

Levi - after all the off-season drama & uncertainty around Fainu it's a massive relief to have a specialist hooker to fill the hole rather than having to rely on our back up halves acting as makeshift hookers. He's the final piece of the puzzle that we need to be a top 4 force this season.

I say Turbo. Hopefully we get to see what he can do in an injury free season. If he stays fit I can see him coming out of this season rated higher than Tedesco.

I'm also keen to see how he and Reubs go with this new no tackling anyone in mid-air rule. As Tom has shown for both Manly and NSW and Reubs for us, they are very good at chasing and catching high kicks for tries and I think we'd be silly if we didn't try to exploit their athletic ability in that area, especially with a kicker of DCE's caliber.

I still think that new rule is going to create a few more higher numbered tries than before. Maybe not in the league record Dave Brown class, but getting up to and maybe over 30 in a season might be possible. Get it right and players like Turbo, Reubs and Daniel Tupou from the Chooks (with Keary kicking for him) could have a field day. And with the new rule there will be very little any opposition can do about it. The worst part of that rule is that I can see the refs letting some teams get away with tackling a mid air player (ruling they were going for the ball only), while others will continually get penalised even if they are legitimately contesting for the ball and have no intent on tackling.
