RUGBY league's crafty old five-eighth Cliff Lyons has made a comeback - at 48 years of age.
He still smokes a packet a day and enjoys the odd beer but it didn't stop the former Sea Eagles superstar making a surprise appearance in A-grade footy last Sunday.
Lyons ran out for Narraweena against Asquith and lasted 35 minutes of the game. He set up the first try and kicked a field goal in a 19-12 victory.
All this a day after scoring a hat-trick for the Beacon Hill over-35s soccer team in a 4-3 win over Pittwater.
"They were my first goals of the year, too,'' he said. "It was a pretty good weekend.''
