What is wrong with Gus

Saw this pic on League Central. Does he have cancer or something like that? He seems to be losing his hair or is it just the camera angle?

I don't know how to upload the photo so I have put the link in instead.

Gus has simply stopped colouring his hair.

What intrigues me about Gus is how he can hold down two important jobs which seem to be in conflict with one another. He'll not be able to commentate on a Penrith match - and you won't be able to trust what he says about them. It will be all spin.

His once independent, unbiased view of RL matters must surely have been compromised by his role with Penrith, and I can't see how he can continue with Nine.

Interesting point. I'd not considered this. The club role does compromise him. It has to.

Heard him say to Rabbits a couple of times during the Knights game he will get Rabbits a good parking spot when he commentates at Penrith. They are both annoying commentators, just wish they would call the game! Too many channel Nine games lately and still more to come!!

Alexander works on Fox matches and he has had various official roles at Penrith. It's probably better they do not commentate on their own club's games, but hardly unique. Commentators like Moose and even Vautin have always had strong team connections which they have struggled to disguise at times.

Gus has already printed a very pointed article on Poker Machines in his column which could have been a 'Prop up the Panthers Group by pouring more down the Pokie Machines'. It was so partisan and had little to do analysis of footy. He has already been bought!!!

Gus didn't colour his hair. He went full grey in just under a year and his hair is falling out in clumps. He has been going to doctors and specialists and none can put it down to anything other than stress.

I remember when he had ties at the roosters, he was commentating on a Roosters game and the team they where playing had mentioned that a certain player will be pulling out when they interviewed the coach on game day. Gus went running down stairs to the rooster sheds and told them so they had a bit of extra time to plan around it.

channel 9 copped a serve from the NRL for conflict of interest about it.

If he's suffering stress, why did he take on the Penrith job? It seems to me he has far too much on his plate - Penrith, Channel Nine and the Fairfax press. He must be making a fortune, but perhaps he needs the money to fund his punting?
I guess it could have been more stressful - trying to turn Cronulla around.
