can you distinguish between the actions of someone who is a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim or an atheist or a Hindu or a Ba'hai or a whatever-else-the-****-they-want-to-believe, and ALL the people of that persuasion?

I'm curious as to why you (cliffy) appear to see Islam as the great threat (to everything?)
Personally I see the forces driving human social evolution/revolution as being more to do with the nuts and bolts, ie, wealth and power, rather than with people's religious beliefs

I don't see Islam as the great threat to everything. I think what has occured in Gaza is horrific. If anything, I believe Capitalism has done more damage to the world than any of the main religions have. I'm just at a point where i think the world as we know it will continue its downward spiral toward self destruction. In my opinion we are too far gone, the day is almost over and darkness is coming.

But.

I am vehemently opposed to Islamic extremism. I am also very much against the church in Rome telling me that the Pope is Christ on Earth, greedy bankers, dishonest real estate agents, and racist pigs who wear black clothing amongst many other things. So my opposition band is very broad and wide.
