What happens with monies from fines

How are monies dealt with when a player gets fined. If Manly fines a player, does that money still get included in the salary cap or not. If not could those monies be used to pay additional salary/a bonus to other players. I can understand if the nrl impose a fine the club have to pay that to the nrl, but if it is the club fining one of their players, what happens with the money?

It goes on the bar for the season launch for the following year.

2008 was the most heavily fined in History, and then the problems started......😉

Im pretty sure that the fine wouldnt reduce the outgoings for cap purposes.

Not sure if the player is fined pre or post payment which would have tax implications for both parties.

My understanding is that the fine is deducted from the NRL's grant payments to the club, what they do with it is anyone's guess.
