Eagles rocked

When you watch the way Manly are performing you can’t discount the effect the tragic passing of Keith Titmuss has had on the players. The 20-year-old collapsed and suffered a seizure following a pre-season training session and later died in hospital.

Many of Titmuss’ best mates were there and watched it happen.

The significant impact it had on the training staff is also still being felt. It is not the main reason for the Sea Eagles’ dreadful 0-4 start to the season, but you need to remember the effect his death has had on vulnerable young men.

Daly Cherry-Evans is the easy target at Manly because of his position and pay packet. It has even led to rumours of a switch to Canterbury to play under his old coach, Trent Barrett. That story is not coming from DCE. Cherry-Evans wants to lead Manly out of their slump, not look for a new start. He is committed to staying with Manly and seeing the club through this tough patch.

Weidler making excuses for our current situation? This demonstrates how low we have actually fallen as a club. We dont need your sympathy Danny, in fact I would be much more comfortable if you were putting the boot in, like you usually do.

A few more weeks of doggy blowouts and i reckon burton will be looking to reneg on barrett . He will get other offers or will want to stay at a potentially GF winning team

Sorry but that is a very pessimistic and negative outlook

Our young Manly Legend Titmuss who left us in Manly colours

Should be an inspiration to the Manly Jersey that all players wear to take the field and honour Kieth and our Legendary club with a sign of respect and a victory on the field

Keith was a resilient and inspirational player and I will never forget his wining Manly try in the Grand final when we took the ball and ran with passion and great determination and ran through the helpless defence to score a jubilant try

To Des and all the players...

Keith would be looking down to all your thrashing and would be shaking his head in disappointment as all of us proud Manly people are !

Making excuses. What was the problem last season?. It just doesn't wash we are a ** squad with a ** coach no excuses should be trotted out.
Great people are great because they come up with solutions and not excuses

Excuses are as useless as tits on a bull

So when we win our first Spoon it will come with an asterisk
* due to a tragedy; players or coach not to blame

He may get his cake and eat it too...

Premiership this year and then establish himself as a marquee signing at Bullfrogs... they will turn it around at some point over the next few years and he looks to be the sort of player that a club would be prepared to bet its future on...
