We Will Win the Comp

We are going far better than I could ever have imagined BUT I'll just be happy if we stay healthy and make the finals and are competitive.

This Penrith team is a ruthless winning machine the likes of which I have never really seen such consistency over a long period of time. They are awesome.

Pfft, Penrith. Not worried at all.

big game backing up against the knights, very emotional and physical performance , and it will be good to see how we line up again or a possible let down.

Tom, Tom and Tom and a few others need to return from injury and penriths injury luck will have to even out. but they are a smart team that rarely have to slug out a result. they finesse around the park and this in itself leads to less injuries. storm have proven that over a decade

we are capable but do can we finesse our way though another 16 or 18 games or slug ourselves into the casualty ward is the biggest concern. our brain strain is our achilles heel

Manly can win the comp
But you don't win premierships in may just ask Parra
Need to go through with minimum injuries and how the young guys handle the pressure and demand of a long season
When they win there first finals game later this year then I will be confident they can go on and win the comp

I need some more data.

let’s see how we back up against the lowly Newcastle next week. Mental strength will be key this year, especially in light of all these sudden changes in the game. I’d like to see a similar structured and balanced performance to that what we saw today.

I agree. Penrith will smack a top team, and then come out and do it again, and again, and again. We don't need to thrash every team; however, we need to show the same level of intensity against Newcastle as with Parramatta. If we can go on an extended run it will set us up mentally for the finals which requires at least three high-intensity games in a row.

our upcoming draw favours us heavily. Even in games where we might be origin affected, we aren't versing top 8 teams. We need to collect the wins that we should win. Can't drop a game that we should be touted to win. Because I want us to try finish in the top 4. We have the chance of edging the roosters or the rabbitohs for that 4th place. I still think we are a level away from Melbourne and Penrith. But we can work towards it, and then we will test it when we play Melbourne in round 21 at lottoland. Other teams, I expect us to beat if we stay focused and are on our game. But what people are forgetting is how crucial this origin period is going to be. And how teams will come out of that period. Thats when the season heats up and the finals charge is in effect. We gotta come out of that period strong and keep peaking.
With 14 rounds to go and the way we exposed them yesterday it's possible that the eels may be the ones to drop out of the four, our blokes showed everyone how to take them on and beat them imo, nothing would make me happier than to see those turds drop to the bottom of the eight

What I see with this team is that they are playing more like the successful teams of 2007-2013. Those teams like you said put 3 or 4 high intensity games in a row together. The thing that Hasler teams have always done is structure first, flair later with a focus on composure and ball control. This team has that same structure, it just comes now down to composure, and that composure will come against different teams and different situations.

I think the Storm will beat them again when the whips are cracking.

Penrith have been blessed by the injury gods...surely it can't last the entire season. It was scary what Melbourne did with the players they had unavailable.

Parramatta are due for a few injuries as well.

That was a premiership performance right there!

Today was the re birth of Manly, unbelievable game of footy, pride, passion, heart!!

we will win the comp for Bozo!
Did you see the Penrith or Melbourne games at all?
Yeah, best performance since the Cronulla semi final in 2019 - where was that for the last 18 months? But don't get carried away. Top 4 seemed delusional a month ago, but might be achievable now.

I’m just amazed at the turnaround in the last 7 weeks. Every single player is now playing with passion and 100% commitment. There is also a togetherness that’s not been there for quite sometime and as a supporter thats all we can ask for.

My biggest concern and gripe while we were losing was the lack of passion, commitment and the way we were losing. That’s now been replaced by a steely resolve and a willingness to put in the hard yards. It feels like Manly again.

Love the spirit and optimistic thoughts on this forum ,but I don't think we can win the comp this year I'd say in next 2 years a great possibility. Please don't shoot me down the reason I think we will fall short is the inexperience of the young stars ,stranger things have happened and I hope we do 100%

Obviously we all live in hope after the last few performances but next year is probably more realistic for a title challenge. This year is all about making the playoffs and getting experience there and hopefully winning a few of those games. Penrith and Melbourne are a cut above everyone this year I think and are shoo ins for GF, hopefully Penrith win it this year though

Spot on mate
Absolutely spot on
The group and team dynamic both on and off the field is strong and similar to past successful campaigns

the risk is how does Des manage the soon to be fit original run on teams

are they strong enough to understand if they don’t come back in and realise that they are now players 17-21

our new players have bided their time and have shown great temperament and enthusiasm

can our others do the same
Des will need to be at his best

I hope we don’t hear much more if needing Fainu this year

it won’t happen
Jorge ?
Dylan?
You know the rest
