Wasted Potential

Joey Lussick was named man of the match and scored a try on debut last night in Salford's win against Hull Rovers. Good luck to him. And Hastings ripped it also on his debut and again had a solid game last night in Salford's win. Our discards seem to be having a great impact already overseas which begs the question; is our environment toxic and is it failing the talent we have at our disposal? Or is the super league so crap that Lewis Brown has the potential to be an immortal. The floor is open..

I’ve watched 4 games of ESL live, anyone of reasonable standard does well there, anyone of a good standard would excel.

It’s probably of a standard that’s less that the ISP.

Although the top 2-3 sides ( who have every really decent local player) are better!!

Funny thing about players who leave Manly for whatever reason.

Those that didn't make a big impact on the field or enjoy success here generally do go on to play well with other clubs. It appears that Hastings and Joey Lussick might be part of that.

But those who play at Manly and have success here both personally and with the team, when they leave the club their careers generally end up going downhill a-la Choc and Foz. Even the great Bozo didn't see playing success at club level after he left like he did at Manly, though during his time away he did captain the 1978 Kangaroos.

Qld cup teams would have decent cracks at the big 3 clubs in the ESL. Any young NRL player even fringe for that matter are more than likely are gonna make an impact in the UK
