Surely if the NRL had enough information and evidence to suspend brett for 4 weeks, fine the manly club, they did so on factual information. And if so I wonder why he wasnt called as a witness

He had nothing, he's got nothing and there was nothing. but still the penalties are imposed. And still after his innocence is proven Nothing

Maybe his fact was based on Paul kent and Rebecca wilson's stories after all that all they were stories

He wasn't called as a witness, as the prosecution knew he knew nothing and would collapse under the pressure of a cross and because the defense wouldn't want to introduce to the jury someone who so clearly prejudged the situation, in case he came out and said that in his opinion Brett was clearly guilty. (Or based on evidence at the time... etc)
