Match Stats

This season could have been anything, and I guess it still could be but man how deflating to crash back to reality so quick. I had imagined we would win this, and then all our upcoming home games and savour being contenders for a bit before lapsing to our usual ****. Super depressing.
Better to get the reality check now than later when bad habits have become more entrenched.
Seib's looked furious (by his standards) shortest presser in history! so will be interesting to see how the players respond next game.

We have 2-3 players who are to slow when they roll away from the tackle, Jake, Toff and Paseka. Do not know how many times I was shouting about Toff last night. Refereeing was quite ordinary suppose have to expect that playing away and having Adam Gee who like no other ref over officiates I reckon he blows more 6 agains that anyone else.

Surely the much-resisted move for Tom to Centre now becomes irresistible. Much much less running and his problematic Hammies don't work so hard. With Lehi ready to go & Garrick a winger and not a centre, Garrick & Saab Wingers, Turbo & Koula Centres with Lehi at fullback is the ONLY sensible option.

Yes, but the hint there is in the job title!

The Job Title is called the Head coach and the Hint is that He is responsible and Accountable for All his staff and all his players performance and is answerable to all the decisions that he makes
He is the one that fronts the Press after games and faces the music

Saw him clutch his hammy in the first half. He did very little after that. I lost a bet with a mate. He said Turbo lasts 2 games, I said 5 games. Carton of beer his way.

I don’t think Penrith will be the only team to lose to the Rorters if their forwards play with that intensity and energy each week, those young forwards did a job on a very good Panthers pack.

With so many older forwards some youthful enthusiasm would help at times, the energy levels were fairly flat.

I agree on the game plan that DCE and Turbo were below par in game management, should have hit Haumole more than what they did to straighten the attack.
Think you're spot on, mate. I worry that older, slower forwards are definitely an issue.

Don’t play on here as much as I used to but just had to check that the sky was falling and our whole team is absolutely terrible, and need sacking after a round 2 loss.
Confirmed.😂
My take on last night’s game - we tried to be too flashy which led to mistakes. If the disallowed try that would have taken us to 12 nil was awarded we would have gone on to win with momentum.
The 6 agains killed us. Always on the 4th or 5th. Most of their tries were a result of this.
I don’t understand how it was so one sided though. They were lying all over us too? We were exhausted through lack of possession and as a result, could not produce quality attack.
Anyways, plenty to learn from for Seibs and the team.
Heal well Chez and Tom.
Great to see the panthers lose too.
Go Manly!

God bless you Bozo! Long may those days return.

Maybe if just one of those earlier scoring opportunities came off , could have kept Manly in the game for a longer period but after that promising start, never seemed to have any semblance of control for the majority of the game .
Poor discipline , outplayed big time in the ruck , lack of composure and direction , just outplayed and regretfully out enthused when it really mattered ..
Just seemed to go away from what worked so well against the Cows , part explained by quite a few players off their game and up against it possession and pressure wise but disappointment plus when all was said and done .
Probably better to give Turbo a rest , not ideal but hopefully Koula can return to the centres , Talau to wing and Lehi at the back .
Maybe time to include Navale on the bench , probably will persevere with the Jazz - Simpkin 9 option .
Actually thought that Burbo was one of the more consistent players
Alioia seemed to hold his own at times , Sips not as effective last night but guess that there would only be Brown to consider instead and not really suited to a prop role ..
Maybe Patolo is not that far off
Going to have to try and get their act together right away but is not going to be helped if D C E has to take time out .
As good and important as Turbo can be at his best , at least Lehi is a more then a capable replacement at the back , but lacking for a D C E replacement , at this stage anyway

I’m not at all against this but it won’t happen. Not this year anyway. Only way Lehi is in the 1 is if Toms not there. I like that backline tho.

Said it during the Cows game...
Our inability to play anything other than highlights reel footy is not a recipe for success.
But....weapons baby, WEAPONS!!!
I agree with your analysis feathered friend as not one game plan fits all
Our Highlight reel play was effective against the Submissive Cows
But it did not not work against Fisher Harris pack of Bulls
As for the Weapons Strategy
Another Major Weapon that Seibs did not use last night was ,,, Pull your sleaves up Resolute Game plan .

Just a question. Have you ever worked in positions with a first grade NRL team?

It would be a very Dark Day if Manly People took loses as just Blase its all ok
Its not fcking all Ok
We have not won a Grand final since 2011
We keep failing to live up to our Legendry clubs Greatness
We Keep Lowering our Legendary clubs Status
Thats not ok
It is a Shame !
Only Losers think this is ok

Wrong question fathered friend
That has nothing do with which club I have worked
It is all about where successful coaches like Bennett , Bellamy , Cleary , and Warren Ryan and Jack Gibson have worked .

Nope, it's for context reasons, I'm only asking if YOU have worked at the top level of a first grade NRL team, simple question?

Poor game plan last night trying to blow the warriors away from inside our 30 and givng up cheap possession. The razzamatazz should be saved until after you have earned field position. For all the talk of learnings it's time we started playing smarter football. Talk about slow learners.
