From the Manly Sea Eagles website, here is the ' Rd 1 Sea Eagles Injury Update' released on Thursday, 16 January 2025:

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles hooker, Lachlan Croker, will miss the start of the 2025 NRL season as he recovers from knee surgery.

The 28-year-old had arthroscopic surgery to his left knee before Christmas and is recovering well.

Croker is expected to be available for selection in Round 4 of the new season.

The Sea Eagles have lost centre Tolu Koula to a corked thigh but Panthers superstar Brian To'o has overcome a hamstring injury and will make his return in Friday night's match against Sydney Roosters.

The Manly speedster suffered the injury against the Cowboys in Round 1 and has failed to recover in time, with Clayton Faulalo taking his place.

No Koula. That hurts. Interested though to see how Faulalo goes. Hope they had plenty of time to work out combos. I suspect the Wahs will now be thinking to apply the blowtorch more to that side. Talent can make up to some degree for deficiencies in coordination of attack, but defence will find you out. Should be a great game - big hits in defence and daring attacks the order of the day.

I hate him commentating. Way too impressed with himself and too many Dad jokes.

There needs to be a thing where you can only hear Dad jokes from your own Dad. And yep, I know ... Silvertails
 
Expecting us to fall back into the usual level of malaise after a good win. Wahs forwards will be stinging and will over power our forwards. They'll attack down the DCE Garrick poor defence. Plenty of points there.Wahs by 8.
