As the title says, the NHL has released details on their newest team and the nhl's 31st.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights.

The NHL's newest team is named the Vegas Golden Knights.

Owner Bill Foley and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman announced the Las Vegas expansion franchise's official name and revealed its logo and colours Tuesday night at a gala ceremony for about 5,000 fans outside T-Mobile Arena, where the Golden Knights will begin play next season.

The Golden Knights' logo is a simple front view of a fighting helmet with a conspicuous V in the middle. Their colours are steel grey, gold, red and black.

It does seem kinda weird to have a hockey team there. You may be right about the titans supporter syndrome.

They wont say it officially (of course) but they probably want the crowd to be full of people watching their team play the Knights.

lol it'll definitely be a "Vegas event" rather than a hardcore supporter base. Feels so weird to have an ice hockey team in Nevada.
That being said, Vegas is growing fast and I can see the locals eventually latching on to this team. Let's hope they romance the locals before the NFL moves there.

If they market it correctly...maybe they can make it the 'cool' thing (no pun intended) to do to support the knights for the out of towners.
