Updated info around roster development for next year

Really interesting podcast from Fox Sports with Trent Barrett with some great points around recruitment coming out of it.

The club are in talks to extend Jorge with the injury having no effect on that.

While Stewart and Matai come off the cap next year, as Baz said there are players that are continuing to improve and no longer kids like Turbos, Dylan, AFB and Api who need to be paid accordingly.

They'll be very selective in recruitment in the next few years given the nucleus of the side is already there.

With the unknown around the cap, they are hoping that some clubs might have to offload some quality players so at the moment they'll keep their powder dry. Has also said that they feel they have a responsibility to keep the juniors coming through the system.

Out of the 20's Paseka, Bainbridge, Parker, Tevita Funa will be brought through.

Myles will be at Manly until end of next year 'as far as Barrett knows'.

Talks are ongoing to extend for Barrett, still a little bit off but would love to stay here. Loves the area and says he just needs to keep winning and everything else will take care of itself.

Man have I misjudged twenty. He learnt from his mistakes during 2016. He really impressed me during that podcast. He thinks very highly of his playing group and appears more focused on keeping and developing them. No wonder the playing group are playing for him.

As someone who has mostly given Barrett the benefit of the doubt, only getting my knives out briefly after that abysmal loss to Souths in Rd 2, I am glad to see that he is working out so well.
