Just heard on Talkin Sport that Matai is staying at the club and this in the SMH

Great news but lets wait to celebrate until it's officially announced by Lowe and he's signed the contract.

His manager played with Warriors and Manly. He basically went on radio in NZ and said that if Warriors offered something to him he would consider moving to NZ. So the Warriors made him an offer but the intention was always to stay with Manly.

But Gavin Orr went back to Manly and got them to up the offer last Friday. He said on NZ radio he is just looking for the best for his client but "he was always going to stay at Manly, and the Warriors were the second option".

He hasn't signed yet. Just says Warriors have pulled out and Manly tabled an updated offer on Friday night. So hopefully he will sign.
