I noted tonight that the AFL have resisted the calls from Channel 10 to have a night grand final and have maintained the current set up. Exposure and tradition are more important to the game than TV dollar.
This is in contrast to the media company that owns the NRL, putting personal profit ahead of the game for advertising dollar. They are wrong anyway as the audience during the day is just as big, but it just doesn't register on people meters.
Our game needs to go back to people who have the games interests heart, not profits for pay TV.
