Uncle Wayne says the NRL are anti-donkeys

Is he for real? Imagine if we had their draw and Sutton working for us. Wayne should retire. If it wasn't for the NRL the donkeys would be much lower on the ladder.

He ain't called Uncle Whine for nothing.
Try being a Sea Eagle ol fella...

Look at what happens to them when they have had 10 games where they have not been playing every Friday night...not much to crack really

Broncos are currently in their longest premiership winning drought. Yeehaw!!
Fun fact.

Our longest premiership drought in the last 50 years is 12 years (1996-2008).

If the Broncos don't win the premiership this year then they will have gone longer than we have. Despite being a one team city and having huge TPA advantages over nearly all other teams.

It’s hard being a one team town (city). So many palms to grease, not to mention the hard decisions that need to be made about which TPA’s to approve... then there’s the pressure of nearly always playing on prime time, where every mistake a player makes is out in the open and under the curse of free to air scrutiny. And don’t get me started on those seven day turnarounds, or how they ultimately create an atmosphere of mundaneness within the playing group, consequently, making it harder for Wayne to keep the players excited about playing football. Poor ol Wayne has a sh1t load of problems, imagine trying to coach an NRL side, while some faceless group of self entitled wanka’s, who go by the limp d1cked name “the thoroughbreds” throw unimaginable sums of money in your direction so you can buy whatever players you want. You’d think they might expect a premiership what? Every couple of years. Poor Wayne.

It was exactly this sort of thinking from Bennett, Ribot, Morgan and the Broncos in 1992-93 which ended up bringing about the Super League. Even with all their advantages back then (the only difference is now they have to share Qld with the Cows and Tits), they still thought they were being hard done by and would never get a fair shake as long as the game's hierarchy was based in NSW.

Poor them back then huh. Their starting 17 most weeks was a virtual Origin / Test team. They had the biggest home venue in the league (ANZ - QE2) which saw in 1993 Brisbane have an average home attendance of over 43,000 compared to the next best that year which was the Dogs with just over 16,000. They had just won 2 premierships in a row and had access to sponsorship money even then that other clubs today can only dream of. So hard done by weren't they.

Good to see nothing has changed in the past 25 years.....

The only time they've been truly happy since 1988 is when they won a competition designed by them just for them.

Bennett has to be fined after Pay was fined for saying the Bulldogs weren't supposed to win. No way the NRL cannot fine him. And it has to be minimum $25K as that is what the Bulldogs were fined. But it wouldn't surprise me with the NRL double standards that they will do nothing.

The moral of this story is no matter how many TPA’s you have, no matter how many palms you grease , no matter how many quality juniors you stockpile in your QCup feeder side, that doesn’t matter as,

A champion team will always beat a team of champions.

"Waynes world" has just become "Manly's world" .... and Wayne doesn't like it ...... it's a bitch not being the NRL chosen ones

In his statement he said he expected a shiit storm to be coming his way in regards to his comments. So bring it on NRL! He not only crossed the line, he is taunting you to fine him.

Looks like Bellache will replace Bennett next season on a mega deal.
Oh yeah, the Donkeys really are poorly treated, aren't they? They have an unlimited budget for players as well as coaches.

Can't wait for uncle Whine's presser today.
Could be a beauty or a dud.
But I hope he gets hammered with questions about bellyache until he explodes.
If he is replaced his life will be very different considering he left his family, his flusey left him and if the boncs replace him a year early than late the chickens will have come home to roost..

He is a crafty old fox this Bennet, I definitely see a method to his madness our "gently as she goes", " nicey nice " coach should take a leaf out of his playbook.
He needs to swallow some starch and put the NRL on notice about the incessant penalties we seem to cop defending our goal line.
If for arguments sake where infringing in that area ,then our opponents would likely be doing it as well ,but it seems to me that (some) refs square it up by awarding us penalties when we have to run 100m to score.
When it's a "even playing field" I'm confident, but the apparent impartiality not shown to us by the refs needs to be addressed .."so coach!, get some dialogue happening and do a Bennet"!!
