Uate & Tafua - MUST Lead

First Grader
Both are very powerful capable players with the ability to give go forward and momentum.
Will be extra important in this game.
Lack of steamrollers in the pack, will mean extra work for everyone and these 2 with fresh, fast legs can really add plenty in this game....not just coming out the Red Zone - involvement all day attacking the gates around the ruck.
I was actually surprised at how well Tigers quicker player ripped Souths apart through the middle....set the platform for the win.
It's not a case of being scared and bullied into playing sideways and beating them on the outside....they have players that struggle laterally and our wingers and the likes of Cullen could really hurt them on the back of fast play the balls.
Yes their pack looks stronger for obvious reasons....but too many ppl look at the paper and weigh up our forwards and theirs....nothing stopping our quicker blokes running through the middle and wearing them down.

Agreed - our pack this week lacks metre eaters and go forward. Our wingers who have a reputation for doing the dirty hard yards from our end will need to be on song. NO ERRORS, just fearless running and getting us as much momentum as possible to start our sets.

They both did pretty well on that front Round 1 so hopefully that will continue.

I agree with that , but i dont think they play the ball quick enough to take advantage of that and that goes for a lot of the team

I think this will be the game that turbo tom will be on fire.I have it from a source 5 min ago.Watch out for tommy turbo.

Probably exploited this more in the Cows game ....need more of this even when Kapow, AFB and Lussick return.

Our pack shouldn't be too much weaker than them. Taupau, AFB, Myles and Lawrence typically hit and stick whilst the opposition post-contact metres are generally small against them. I think the dogs pack is no longer the threat it was a few seasons back.

Really really good point, nice!

The tactic of using the wingers - especially strong wingers like these 2 should be used against all teams....
I agree about these Dogs though....this big intimidating pack is not what it was and we can overpower them if turn up with the right attitude.
In fact their most aggressive and toughest is 1 of the smallest in Josh Jackson.
Uate and Taufua with the occasional scoot from Walker/ Kelly gives the middle men a spell and the quick feet uses up defensive juice of the opposition...conserving our energy, while wearing them down.
