I think he got lucky with this Broncos roster. He didn't suddenly remember how to coach after his time at the Tigers. He got a great roster and fair play to him, was good enough to get them up for matches, but the amount of natural talent and athleticism in that roster is scary. I think most of the current NRL coaches could do something special with that roster.

Ours couldn't

It was interesting to watch the coaching box at full time

Madge, Ballin both were very happy but Tbaz was on the next level....then I had a thought about it. That would have to be his first premiership right?

Wasn't Twent quoted as telling Madge he was training the players too hard during the off season 😂 @dudsupercoach.

Funnily enough, Madge completely ignored his advice.

Anyone else think the admiring "Gee, whizz! Madge is a tough guy!" tone in reporting the "You're going to kill one of these blokes" line is a bit tone deaf given that a Manly player did in fact die during a training session, and another is currently suing the club for almost doing the same?
Exactly. I honestly think a lot of clubs have to get smart on a few things. Particularly given the amount of money in the game, I consider the day to day running of it - particularly at the level of most clubs - to be astonishingly amateurish.
